Horizon Farms is located just minutes West of Stony Plain, Alberta on Range Road 12 and Highway 627. We are a brand new training facility that caters to the Hunter/Jumper market.

Services

Horizon is a private training facility catered to the hunter/jumper rider and horse. Experienced coaching is available from beginner to Grand Prix levels. A competitive program is offered with focus on flatwork, gymnastic exercises, fitness and preparation for the show ring.

Due to capacity limitations, all horses boarded at Horizon Farms must be in a training program.

Training is also available for young horses. Suzanne has experience bringing up horses for the hunter ring as well as the jumper ring up to an FEI level.

Boarding

Three types of board are currently available at Horizon:

Indoor: all inclusive board includes a 12'x12' box stall with thick rubber mats, private turnout in large grass paddocks, high quality hay split up into 4 feedings daily and grain feeding twice daily. Complete feed and beet pulp provided. Supplements and special feeds are fed when provided. Wrap, boot, blanket and turnout service is included. Lockers are available. Full access to indoor and outdoor arena.

Outdoor Group: includes group turnout on grass pasture with bedded shelter and heated waterer. Hay fed twice daily. Lockers available. Full access to facility.

Paddock Board: includes a large private paddock with bedded shelter and heated waterer. Hay fed twice daily, grain fed once daily. Complete feed and beet pulp provided. Supplements and special feeds fed when provided. Lockers available. Full access to facility.

Arenas

Our brand new, heated indoor arena is 70'x150' in size with brand new footing.

Our 80'x250' outdoor arena is great for preparing for competition. A large selection and variety of new and colorful jumps, gates, and fill are available for schooling, preparation and training.

Turnout

All indoor horses have large private grass paddocks available to them. All paddocks have heated, year round waterers in each. The fencing throughout the property is all boarded and brand new as of summer 2010.
